Steve Caldwell is an accomplished Certified Appraiser with 23 years of experience in the state of Utah, along with 14 years of department leadership and national appraisal review expertise. As an educator, Steve leads classes covering appraisal principles, providing a deeper understanding of appraisal practices for appraisers and agent referral partners across the country. A passionate leader and motivator, Steve is always eager to learn and teach new appraisal concepts and technologies.
With extensive knowledge in high-risk collateral, Steve helps lender clients mitigate risk by delivering credible and accurate real estate appraisal reports for their portfolios. He has served as an expert witness and has led teams of more than 40 people.
With a passion for real estate, Steve is continuously enthusiastic about learning and sharing new appraisal concepts. He teaches and trains appraisers, underwriters, loan production staff, and Realtors nationwide, enhancing their understanding of appraisal principles. Additionally, Steve has developed an approved appraisal continuing education (CE) course, which is recognized in multiple states.
Steve has contributed to the development of appraisal department policies and procedures, acting as a mediator between Senior Executives, Regional Managers, production staff, Underwriters, and the appraisers the company collaborates with.
